The third and fourth phrases have these 10 narrator words, ... kai etheasametha tēn doksan autou, doksan hōs monogenous para patros [and we-gazed-at the Glory of-him, Glory as-of an-only-begotten (Son) before a-Father, ...]. The 10 narrator words in two groups of five are bottom up. The first group of 5 narrator words "and we gazed at the Glory of him," are tangent to the 'Glory' holding the body of Jesus and are tangent to the triangles holding John and the two Men as if the 5 words were actually spoken by John and seen and heard by the two men. The second group of 5 narrator words "Glory as of an only begotten (Son) before a Father, ..." are only meant to be seen and read by you the reader. That is why the two groups are separated from each other. The 3 nouns "glory, an only one, and a Father" are tangent to the signs they name. The imagery of the narrative text matches the images of the diagram. Jn 1:14a < Verse > Jn 1:14c |
