Verse 5 has two phrases containing these 13 narrator words ... Kai to fōs en tē skotia fainei, kai hē skotia auto ou katelaben (And the light in the darkness shines, and the darkness it not did grasp). Diagram 1: The 6 words of the second phrase are top down. The first 3 words "kai hē skotia" (and the darkness) are tangent to the top green triangle with it's sides grasping two areas of darkness. The last 3 words "auto ou katelaben" (it not did grasp) are tangent to both triangles of light with their sides not grasping darkness. Diagram 2: The 13 words of both phrases are bottom up. The 7 words of the first phrase are tangent to the 3 beams of light shining in the darkness. The 5 words "tē skotia, hē skotia auto" (the Darkness, the Darkness it) are tangent to all four areas of Darkness enclosing but not grasping the light. However, the 5 words "tē skotia, hē skotia auto" (the Darkness, the Darkness it) did grasp the top two green arms of the hexagram that did grasp all four areas of the Darkness. The narrative text is 100% true, it matches the imagery of the two diagrams. Jn 1:5a < Verse > Jn 1:6a |
