Pray - proseuchomai

Definition: Proseuchomai (pros-yoo'-khom-ahee) Verb - to Pray, from prós (before, exchange) and euxomai (to wish).

Diagram: The Sign of "praying" is head size circles sharing their radius vesicas on both sides of the face. Jesus prays many times but the text never reveals what he says except for his last prayer which says "not what I will, but what you will." Prayer is believing in what God wills, not asking what God can do for you.

Mk 06:46 he came away into the mountain to pray.
Mk 11:25a And whenever you stand praying ...
Mk 14:32b and he says to his disciples ... Sit down here while I pray.
Mk 14:39a And again coming away ... he prays ... (not what I will, but what you will).
