| 41a 41b 41c | 42a 42b | 43a 43b 43c | 44a 44b 44c | Mk 12:43c ... "that this poor widow cast in more than all the ones casting into the treasury."
The 3rd phrase has these 14 dialog words, ... hoti hē xēra hautē hē prōxē pleion pantōn ebalen tōn ballontōn eis to gazofulakion ["that the widow this the poor more (than) all cast in the ones casting into the treasury"]. The 14 dialog words are top down. The 9 words "hoti hē xēra hautē hē prōxē pleion pantōn ebalen" (that the widow this the poor more (than) all cast in) are tangent to the widow and the 2 leptas already cast in the treasury. This is confirmed by verse 42. The 5 words "tōn ballontōn eis to gazofulakion" (the ones casting into the treasury) are tangent to the four scribes who will soon be casting into the treasury. But we still don't know the exact number cast in by the 4 scribes, only that if they are generous, they could possibly cast in 15 leptas, an average of 3.75 leptas per scribe. That would be more than the widow. However, this verse says the widow cast in more than all of them. The last verse will explain how she cast in more. 12:43b < Verses > 12:44a |
