Mk 11:28a ... And they said to him, ... "In what kind of authority do you do these things"?

Verse 28 has 3 phrases and 18 words. The first two phrases have these 3 narrator and 5 dialog words, ... Kai elegon autō, "En poia eksousia tauta poieis" (And they said to him, ... "In what kind of authority these things do you do")?

The 8 words are bottom up. The 5 dialog words, "En poia eksousia tauta poieis" (In what kind of authority these things do you do) are tangent to the triangle of authority holding the body of Jesus. The interrogative pronoun poia (what, which) allows for one or more sources of authority. The authorities ask again and get more specific in the third phrase of this verse.
