Mk 9:31c ... "and they will kill him and, ..."

The fourth phrase has these 4 dialog words ... kai apoktenousin auton kai ("and they will kill him and, ...").

The 4 dialog words are bottom up. The word "kai" (and), says that more of this important prediction is coming. The next diagram is important and should stand out. Jesus will make the second prophesy of his death. Important messages are usually tangent to the ears of the disciples. In this case, the word "and" is on the top of the triangle holding Simon's head. The priests hear the predicion and rejoice. The ears of the disciples are blocked. Their ears are not open for hearing this prediction.
