The 3rd phrase has these 7 narrator words, ... hoti ēsan hōs probata mē exonta poimena (because they were like sheep not having a shepherd, ...).

The 7 narrator words are bottom up. This diagram humorously transforms the previous one. The "right arm" of Jesus 'crooked' towards his "esplagxnisthē" (gut level feelings) and his left forearm and hand on the word "shepherd" take on the shape of the "shepherds crook" on which he stands, tangent to the rectangle holding the great crowd of sheep. This iconography makes Jesus into "a shepherd" and all mankind into his "sheep."
