The third phrase has these 5 dialog words ... Fimōthēti kai ekselthe eks autou ("Be muzzled and come out of him")! The 5 dialog words are top down and tangent to mouth and arms of Jesus down to an equilateral triangle that took hold of both halves of the Unclean Spirit that revealed his Messianic Secret. The command "Fimōthēti" ("Be muzzled") is derived from the noun phimos (to muzzle, to be made speechless). The command is only directed at the first Unclean Spirit, not at the man. The Unclean Spirit is now split in two and muted. The Unclean Spirit has "come out from him" (the man) just like the verse says but it is still clinging to him. Verse 26 contains the words that finally enable Jesus to perform Miracle #1 of 24 in the Gospel of Mark. |
