The 5th phrase has these 8 dialog words ... hupantēsai tō meta eikosi xiliadōn erxomenenō ep auton (to-meet the-one with twenty thousand having-come upon him). The green-eyed king sees this hypothetical diagram in his mind's eye of how his position might look in the very near future. The 8 dialog words are top down from the hands of Jesus to the armies of twenty thousand of the brown-eyed king that could out flank his army of ten thousand. He thinks his position is hopeless, no way can he win this war outnumbered and surrounded two to one. Luke 14:31b < Verses > Luke 14:32a |
