a Deaf or Mute One - kofos

Definition: kofos (ko-fos') adjective or adjectivial noun - a person who is deaf or mute (dumb), a metaphor for an "unclean spirit" that causes such a malady.

Diagram: By convention, the sign of an abstract noun is an equilateral triangle. Since one can't see being deaf or dumb, the adjective is abstract. All disease and serious ailments in 1st century Jewish society was belived to be caused by demons and unclean spirits.

Mk 07:32a And they bring a "deaf" and "difficult talker" to him ...
Mk 07:37c and "he makes the (formerly) deaf hear" ... and (the formerly) mute to speak.
Mk 09:25b Un-talking and deaf spirit, I arrange for you to come out, out of him ...
