Phrases 3 through 5 contain these 3 narrator and 3 dialog words ... kai legei autō, Oligopiste eis ti edistasas (and he-says to-him, ... "One-of-little-faith, into any two-you-stand?"). The 7 words are top down. After Jesus extended his hands to save Simon from sinking, he still has to bring him back into the wind-filled boat that is currently located south of the graph. Jesus then admonishes Simon with the question "oligopiste eis ti edistasas?" The Greek word "edistasas" means to stand in two places at once. Jesus is asking Simon where he stands, does he doubt him or not? The opposite of faith is doubt and fear. Simon had no doubt and fear in diagrams 14:29a-b-c when he saw the strong wind and walked on the waters. But he did have doubt and fear when his mind changed when he walked on the waters in 29d before Jesus. The diagram shows four of the 'stretched out hands' of Jesus, two on the wave enclosing Simon and another two "into 2 of the 4 words" of his question to Simon. The next diagram shows Jesus saving Simon. Matt 14:31a < Verses > Matt 14:32 |
