Mk 15:36b ... having-placed-(it) on-a-reed, he-gave-drink to-him saying, ...

The 3rd and 4th phrases have these 5 narrator words ... peritheis kalamō, epotizen auton legōn [having-placed-(it) on-a-reed, he-gave-drink to-him saying ...].

The 5 narrator words are bottom-up clockwise from the far-left soldier raising the sponge on a reed down to the seated soldier on the far right. The word "peritheis" [having-placed-(it)] is where the sponge was on the ground in the previous diagram. The word "kalamō" (on a reed) is tangent to the hand of the soldier holding "the reed" which can mean "a measuring reed, a writer's reed, or a pen." This reed gives the measure of the diameter of the sponge, it is two radii vesicas, two handbreadths in width. The 2 words "epotizen auton" (he-gave-drink to-him) are tangent to the sponge of vinegar over the mouth of Jesus.
