Verse 33 contains these 13 narrator words ... Kai (31), genomenes (431), horas (1101), ektes (533), skotos (860), egeneto (438), ef (505), olēn (158), tēn (358), gēn, (61), heōs (1005), hōras (1101), enatēs (564) = 7,146 units. (And having become hour sixth, dark it became over whole the land, until hour ninth). The four diagonals converging from the corners of the graph to the crucified Jesus on the cross are equal to 7,146 units which is equal to the gematria value of the 13 words in the verse. Luke 23:44-45 also has three hours of darkness but says it was due to an "eklipontos" (a solar eclipse). Jesus died during the Pasch Celebration on Nissan 14, a date that always occurs during a full moon (the earth is between the sun and moon). During a solar eclipse the moon is between the sun and the earth! Many translators knowing an eclipse is impossible during a full moon, mistranslate the "tou heliou eklipontos" (the sun was eclipsed) to "the sun was darkened." There was no need to mistranslate, the natural explanation was the sun was eclipsed by dark clouds in the sky. 15:33b < Verse > 15:34a |
