| 1a 1b | 2a 2b | Mk 14:2b ... lest there be a tumult of the people.
The 3rd phrase has these 5 dialog words ... mēpote estai thorubos tou laou (lest there be a tumult of the people). The 5 words are top down. Four of the five words are tangent to the priests and scribes. The word "thorubos" (tumult) is tangent to the 4440 semicircle holding the people. The 2 words "tou laou" (the people) is tangent to them. The conclusion of the priests and scribes that if they did seize Jesus the people would rise up is merely their opinion which does not have to be true. In this case the people will not tumult when Jesus is arrested during the Jewish Holy Day Feast because the Romans will release Barabbas (Son of the Father) to the Jewish people in place of Jesus. 14:2a < Verses > 14:3a |
