Mk 13:20d ... "he lopped the days."

The 4th phrase has these 3 dialog words, ... ekolobōsen tas hēmeras (he lopped the days).

The 3 dialog words are top down. The full 6 days looks like the blade of a Roman sword (gladius). Lopping off the days was like lopping off the edge of the sword in order to save the flesh (lives) of the Jews. This diagram shows the "lopped off days" that represents the "lopped off days of Roman-Jewish War" that if it continued the entire Jewish population would have been annihilated.
