The 3rd phrase has these 4 dialog words ... kai ou mē genētai (and never not shall be). The 4 dialog words are top down. In this phrase, Jesus looks forward in time regarding the tribulation during the Roman Jewish War. This diagram compares the 7 days of creation with the lack of tribulation pressure. The meaning is that there will not be a tribulation in the future as bad as the tribulation the Jews suffered in the Roman Jewish War. It is estimated almost one million Jews were taken as slaves and over one million died from starvation, disease, crucifixion, and casualties of war. The only tribulation in the future that was worse was the Holocaust during WW2 when over 6 million Jews were murdered. 13:19b < Verses > 13:20a |
