The third phrase has these 6 narrator words ... kai ptusas eis ta ommata autou (and having spit into the eyes of him, ...). The 6 narrator words are top down. Jesus began his 19th miracle with this verse. Now we know why the Unclean Spirit and one other equally sized equilateral triangle had to be divided into 9 smaller but equal triangles! The text demanded this geometry in order to place the blind man's head in the center of the graph. Jesus then spit into the corner of his eyes which caused a thin outline of the pupils of his eyes to appear. Geometrically, the eyes of the blind man need two more 'gematria operations' from Jesus before he could see clearly. Verse 23 doesn't say anything about the men who brought the blind man to Jesus. They may be his neighbors who also live outside of Bethsaida. Verse 24 mentions "the men" (tous anthrōpous). They are probably the same men from verse 22 who begged Jesus to touch their friend. 8:23b < Verses > 8:23d |
