Verse 23 has three phrases and 26 words. The first phrase contains these 6 narrator words ... Kai epilabomenos tēs cheiros tou tuflou (And having grasped the hand of the blind man ...). The 6 narrator words are top down. The verb "epilabomenos" (on taking) comes from the preposition epi (on) and the verb lambanō (to take, lay hold of, grab). The last four words "tēs cheiros tou tuflou" (the hand of the blind man) enclose the extended hands of Jesus that terminate tangent to the hands of the blind man. 8:22c < Verses > 8:23b |
