Phrases five and six contain these 7 narrator words, ... kai exeteinen, kai apekatestathē hē cheir autou [And he stretched (it) out, and was restored the hand of him]! The 7 words are top down. There are three pronouns in these two phrases, a "he, an "understood it," and a "him." The 2 pronouns in the word "exeteinen" (he and it) in the first phrase do not refer to "the man" and his "dried hand" that Jesus just cured. As you can see it is tangent to the "stretched out hand" of Jesus. The four words "apekatestathē hē cheir autou" (was restored the hand of him) only refer to the one who was cured and are tangent to the triangle holding his face and to his two healthy hands. The diagram shows as soon the the man's hand was restored, the "Unclean Spirit" was destroyed, broken in two, and cast to the sides of the graph against the sign of two Sabbaths. Jesus has now done "work" on the Sabbath, a violation of the Mosaic Law. The next diagram will show some of the witnesses to the 6th of his 24 miracles. 3:5c < Verses > 3:6a |
