Mk 3:4c ... But they were silent.

The fourth phrase has these 3 narrator words ... Hoi de esiōpōn (They but were silent).

The 3 words are top down. The pronoun "Hoi" (They) is tangent to two empty circles, the sign of silence coming from the two Pharisees. The word "esiōpōn" (were silent) is tangent to the sign of evil. The Pharisees showed Jesus they considered not making a decision between saving a life or killing a life was considered "work" which they were not allowed to do on the Sabbath. To Jesus, this law, this tradition, was not just harsh, it was evil.
