Verse 7 has three phrases containing 14 words. The first two phrases contain these 4 narrator and 6 dialog words ... apekrithe auto ho Filippos, "Diakosiōn dēnariōn artoi ouk arkousin autois" (Answered him the Philip, ... "of two hundred denarii loaves are not enough for them, ..."). The 4 narrator words "apekrithe auto ho Filippos" (Answered him the Philip) are top down tangent to Jesus and Philip. The 6 dialog words "Diakosiōn dēnariōn artoi ouk arkousin autois" (of two hundred denarii loaves are not enough for them). The diagram shows Philip inside a large rectangle holding 20 stacks of 10 denarii behind him. On top of the 200 denarii rectangle are two squares each having a perimeter of 200 units which is only possible if the scale of the graph is 888 units. Tangent to the squares having perimeters of 200 units touching the 200 denarii and the top of the graph are two baskets of Loaves (artoi = 481) tangent to the sides of the graph. The loaves however do not touch the stacks of 200 denarii because that is not enough money for each man below to buy a full loaf of bread. A basket of loaves is only possible if the scale of the graph is 8880 units. Jn 6:06b < Verses > Jn 6:07b |
