The Law - nomos

Definition: nomos (nom'-os) Abstract Noun, Masculine - The Law, the Mosaic law, the Pentateuch, the Old Testament scriptures. The Law is mentioned 196 times in Matthew, Luke, and John, but zero times in Mark!

Diagram: By convention, the sign of an abstract noun is an equilateral triangle. In this case it is two equilateral triangles. Each triangle is divided into two right triangles then joined together to make a rectangle. The above rectangle, made from four right triangles, is the sign of "The Law." The one example of this sign, "The Law," is a work in progress.

Jn 01:17a Because the Law was given through Moses ...
Jn 01:45b We have found (he) whom Moses and the prophets wrote in the Law ...
Jn 07:19a Has not Moses given you the Law?
