Diagram: By convention, the sign of an abstract noun is an equilateral triangle. Therefore the Sign of "Compassion" is a white equilateral triangle. In Mark, the noun is always disguised inside a verb. Jesus is always on top of this sign as he places it on top of whoever he has pity.

Mk 01:41a And "having compassion" ...
Mk 08:02a he said to them ... I have "compassion" on the crowd ...
Mk 09:22d But if any ... you are able to help us ... have compassion on us.
