The five words are top down. The 5 words of text was composed to bring Jesus down to set up the geometry for the next verse! The words "ton oxlon" (the crowd) are tangent to the white square enclosing Jesus that has an area of 5000 sq. units, and directly below, the large white rectangle that held the faces of the men who personified the number of men in the crowd.
