Work - kopos

Work - kopos

Definition: Kopos (kop'-os) Abstract Noun, Masculine - Work, a product of work, anything made by hand, art, industry, or mind. Kopos is derived from the verb kopto (to cut), such as "cutting stone," or cutting equilateral triangles into right triangles. Kopos is a synonym for ergon, also meaning "work."

Diagram: By convention, the sign of an abstract noun is an equilateral triangle. Since "work" is a "good" abstract noun, it's sign is a white equilateral triangle, the same sign as a stone. However, for this sign, the stone is shown after work has been performed on it, after it was cut down the middle.

Mk 14:06a Why do you cause her "work"?
Mk 14:06b She has worked an "ideal work" in me.
