Definition: Eremos, Eremia (er'-ay-mos, er-ay-mee'-ah) Adj. - Wilderness, a secluded place, an uninhabited region. Modifies the noun "place." The word appears ten times in Mark.

Diagram: The Sign of a Wilderness is a rectangle equal to 1/4th the area of the graph located at the top or bottom of the graph. From the verses below, we know a "wilderness" is equal to a "place." We also know that Jesus, John the baptist, the twelve disciples, a voice, loaves, a boat, and forty days either fit inside it or are tangent to it in some way.

Mk 01:03a A voice crying out in the "wilderness" ...
Mk 01:04a John became the one immersing in the wilderness ...
Mk 01:12 And immediately the spirit casts him out into the "wilderness."
Mk 01:13a And he was in the wilderness forty days ...
Mk 01:35b and he went away into a "wilderness place" ...
Mk 01:45d but he was outside in "wilderness places" ...
Mk 06:31a Come down privately by yourselves into a "wilderness place" ...
Mk 06:32b And they departed in the boat down into a "wilderness place" ...
Mk 06:35c his disciples approached him saying ... The "place" is a "wilderness" ...
Mk 08:04b Loaves? ... Here! ... in a "wilderness"!
