Definition: Trinity (trias) - Neither the Old or New Testament use the word “Trinity.” The Trinity is implied in the Old Testament by the plural form of the divine name. The word Elohim, the plural of El or Eloah, is used over 2500 times in the Old Testament. Nobody can deny that more than one person is addressed as God. The only question is how many Gods are joined together as one. Diagram: The Sign of the Trinity: The sign of God the Father is the bearded man, God the Son is a bearded or a beardless man (the raised Jesus, a youth) below him; the Holy Spirit is the white equilateral triangle tangent to and enclosing them.
