Sanhedrin - sunedrion

Definition: Sunedrion, (soon-ed'-ree-on) Noun, Neuter - the Sanhedrin, the great council at Jerusalem had 71 members, scribes, elders, prominent members of priestly families, and the high priest whose vote acted as a tie breaker. The Great Sanhedrin met in the Hall of Hewn Stones in the Temple in Jerusalem. The court convened every day except festivals and Sabbath. The Romans even allowed the council to impose the death penalty as long as it was confirmed by the Roman procurator.

The Signs: The Hall of Hewn Stones is represented by the white hexagon. The members are represented by "men" in vesica form. Each man is formed by three vesicas 120 degrees apart.

Diagram 1: The capacity of the hall is exactly 68 men if dismemberment of vesicas is allowed. There are 12 green and 12 blue dismenbered vesicas.

Diagram 2: The capacity of the hall is 72 men if the men must remain whole which results in the overlapping of only six vesicas on or to the four men colored red. However, if according to Mk 15:43, one man (colored blue), Joseph of Arimathea, has to be made "good-figured," one man (also blue but not shown) must be eliminated. The capacity of the hall is then exactly 71 members. The geometry agrees with the history!

Mk 13:09 But "see yourselves" ... they shall be giving you "into the Sanhedrins" ...
Mk 14:55 and the whole Sanhedrin sought down testimony of Jesus ...
Mk 15:01 and the whole Sanhedrin, binding Jesus, carry him away ...
