Definition: Kalamos (kal'-am-os) Noun, Masculine - a Reed, a measuring reed, a writer's reed, or a pen.

Diagram: The Sign of a Reed is three radius christ vesicas because it has the same length as the gematria value of "fruit" (karpos = 481), the raw ingredient of vinegar. The diagram shows the sign of a "vinegar sponge" placed around two vesicas of a "reed," the third vesica is so the person can hold it.
