Definition: Ptóchos (pto-khos') Adjectivial Noun - Poor Ones, poor people.

Diagram: The Sign of the Poor is a synonymn for the sign of a crowd. The heads of four poor men fit tangent inside the bowl of the earth. The word "poor" acts as a regular adjective, not an adjectivial noun, when describing the "poor widow" in Mk 12:42a and Mk 12:43b.
