Lot - klēros

LOT

Definition: ho klēros (klay'-ros) Noun, Masculine - a portion given whole, a portion by division, or a portion by chance.

Diagram: The Sign of "a Lot" is arbitrary. By convention, the sign of an abstract noun is an equilateral triangle 1/4th the height of the graph. In this verse there are four soldiers, each receiving one lot. The face of each soldier fits inside an abstract triangle. Therefore it makes sense to give each soldier a triangle the size of an abstract noun, or if possible, divide the abstract noun (a lot) into four equal parts (triangles).
