Face - prosopon

Definition: Prosopon (pros'-o-pon) Noun, Neuter - the Face, the front of the human head.

Diagram: The Sign of a Face is made from twelve simple vesicas, the area where two equal circles intersect at their common radius chord. The above diagram shows how a "christ face" (1480) is constructed using just a straightedge and a compass. The face has five multicolored vesicas: hair, beard, eyes, nose, and mouth.
