Ass - Onos

Ass - Onos

Definition: Onos (on'-os) Noun, Masculine - an Ass, a donkey. This noun resides in the adjective onikos (turned of an ass) which modifies the word mulos, mill (two grinding stones mounted on an axel).

Diagram: The sign of an "ass" (onos) is a man yoked to a pair of millstones. All live animals in Mark are metaphors for people or spirits. This is the sign of whatever "man" who would dare to snare a "child" believing in Jesus.

Mk 09:42c It is ideal for him if instead a "mill turned of an ass" is hung around his neck ...
