Mk 7:37a ... And over-excessively they-were-amazed saying, ...

Verse 37 has 4 phrases contain 4 narrator and 12 dialog words. The 1st phrase has these 4 narrator words ... Kai huperperissōs ekseplēssonto legontes (And over-excessively they-were-amazed saying, ...).

The 4 narrator words are bottom up. This and the next three phrases all refer to what the four men in the crowd will say regarding Jesus "doing all things ideally" to make this deaf-mute hear and speak. All their words will be bottom up. The word "huperperissōs" comes from "huper" (over, above) and "perissōs" (beyond measure). The verb "ekseplēssonto" comes from "ek" (from out of) and "plēssō" (to strike, to flatten). The diagram shows the crowds amazement is doubly, threefold flattened, over and above, what they are saying.
