The 3rd phrase has these 4 narrator words, ... opou ēkouon hoti estin (where they-heard that he-is). The 4 words are bottom up. This third phrase is a short flashback that must have occurred before verse 55a when the residents began to run around the whole region locating all the ones on their sick beds. The 2 words "opou ēkouon" (where they-heard) are tangent to the ears of all the men in the city. The last 2 words "hoti estin" (that he-is) are tangent to "where Jesus is."
