Verse 34 contains two phrases and 14 narrator words. The 1st phrase has these 6 narrator words, ... Xōris de parabolēs ouk elalei autois (Apart from but parables not was he speaking to them, ...).

The 6 narrator words of this phrase are tangent to the center parable filled with "ton logon" (the word). The fifth and sixth words of this phrase are identical to the fifth and sixth words of the first phrase of the previous verse. The last 2 missing words of this phrase "ton logon" (the word) are missing but understood. The diagram shows Jesus is only speaking to the crowd of men with parables.
