Mk 1:20 ... And immediately he-called them, and leaving the father of-them Zebedee in the boat with the hired-servants, they-followed after him.

Verse 20 has 4 phrases containing these 19 narrator words ... Kai euthus ekalesen autous, kai afentes ton patera autōn Zebedaion en tō ploiō meta tōn misthōtōn, apēlthon opisō autou (And immediately he called them, and leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, they followed away behind him).

Diagram 1: The word "euthus" (immediately) is the cue to use the previous diagram as a template. This part of the verse seems to be a repeat of how Jesus called Simon and Andrew to "come after me" in verse 17a. The diagram shows there are five people in the boat. Zebedee their father with his two servants will be called in the next diagram.

Diagram 2: All 19 narrator words are clockwise starting top right. Repeating diagram 18 was an excellent way of ending this story. Instead of leaving a boat filled with eight nets needing mending, the author decided James and John should leave their boat filled with people. Only Zebedee and his two servants are needed. When James and John come to Jesus, they are now on the shoreline with Simon and Andrew, ready to go to the next story.
