Reward - misthos

Definition: Misthos (mis-thos') Noun, Masculine - a Reward. The only divine reward a person can have after death is "eternal life" with God in heaven. With primitive animist religions it's going to the "happy hunting grounds;" with the Greeks it's crossing the river Stix to arrive in the Elysian Fields; to the Mormons it's going to a distant solar system to raise celestial children; for believers in Allah it's going to a desert garden to have sex with a harem of 70 virgins.
