Needle - rhaphis

Definition: Rhaphis (hraf-ece') Noun, Feminine - Needle, derived from the verb rhaptó (to sew).
Diagram: The area of the sign of a "needle" minus it's "bore" is exactly equal to the area of the "Kingdom of God" minus it's "bore." The bore (eye) end is made from one equilateral triangle, as is the point. The shaft is made from four equilateral triangles. The total area of the needle is therefore six equilateral triangles, the same as six arms of the "Kingdom of God." The bore is 5/9 the area of the point. The bore or eye of the Kingdom is it's central hexagon. According to the text, the "camel" is to a "rich man" as the "needle" is to the "Kingdom"
less their "eye."
| Mk 10:25a |
It is easier for a camel to go through the "hole of a needle" than for a rich person to come into the "Kingdom of God." |
