| 2:01 |
And on the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. |
|
And the mother of Jesus was there. |
| 2:02 |
And both Jesus and his disciples were invited into the wedding. |
| 2:03 |
And (when) wine was lacking, ... |
| |
the mother of Jesus says to him, ... They do not have wine. |
| 2:04 |
And Jesus says to her ... What is that to me and you woman? |
| |
My hour does not yet come. |
| 2:05 |
His mother says to the servants, ... Do whatever he tells you. |
| 2:06 |
Now there were six stone waterjars there, ... |
| |
lying according to the purification of the Jews. |
| |
Each having room for two or three measures. |
| 2:07 |
The Jesus says to them, ... Fill the water jars with water. |
| |
And they filled them up to the top. |
| 2:08 |
And he says to them, ... Draw out now and carry it to the master of the three-couches. |
| |
And they brought it. |
| 2:09 |
And as the master of the three couches tasted the water having become wine, and did not know from where it is, ... |
| |
But the servants knew, the ones having drawn the water. |
| |
The master of the three couches calls the bridegroom. |
| 2:10 |
And he says to him, ... Every man first sets out the good wine. |
| |
And when they become drunk the inferior. |
| |
You have kept the good wine until now. |
| 2:11 |
This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee. |
| |
And he manifested his glory. |
| |
And his disciples believed in him. |
| 2:12 |
After this he and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples went down to Capernaum. |
| |
And they remained there not many days. |
