The Death of John the Baptist
The Sacred Geometry Story
Scene 1: King Herod's castle. The twelve disciples sent out two by two have just completed their mission. Herod has received numerous reports of their deeds which he attributes to John the Baptist coming back from the dead. Herod arrested him just before Jesus began his ministry then beheaded him.
Scene 2: A long flashback explains how John died.
Characters: John the Baptist, king Herod, his brother Philip, Herodias and her daughter, Herod's great ones, Herod's thousand-man leaders, Herod's foremost ones, Herod's bodyguard.
Signs of objects used in the story: Herod's kingdom, the watch, the head of John the Baptist, a platter, a memorial vault.
