Jesus cures two sick people in Nazareth

Mark 6:1-6

Miracle 12: The Sacred Geometry Story

This is the least significant miracle Jesus (888) performed in his ministry. Many commentaries don't even bother to list it. In verse 5c, Jesus cured two sick people simply by laying his hands on them. This may not be a spectacular miracle, but it counts as miracle number twelve, one half of his 8+8+8 total!

The Scene: After leaving the house of Jairus in Capernaum, Jesus travels ahead of his disciples through his fatherland (Galilee) to a city with a synagogue, presumably Nazareth, the city where he was raised, then to his boyhood house.

Characters: Jesus, some members of a synagogue, his mother Mary, his four brothers (James, Joses, Judas and Simon), his (four) unnamed sisters, and two sick people whom he cures.

Objects mentioned in the story: a house, a hill-village.
