Jesus and God
1:01 In a beginning was the word ...
and the Word was before the God ...
and the Word was God.
1:02 This one was in a beginning before the God ...
1:03 All things through him came to be ...
and without him, not one thing came to be ...
1:04 In him was life ...
and the life was the light of Men.
1:05 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.
John the Baptist
1:06 There came a man sent off from God, a name to him was John.
1:07 This one came into testimony so that he might testify about the Light ... so that all may believe through him.
1:08 That one was not the light ... but that he might testify about the light.

Jesus, Man, Cosmos

1:09 He was the Light, the true one which enlightens every man coming into the Cosmos.
1:10 He was in the cosmos and the cosmos came to be through him ...
and the cosmos did not recognize him.
1:11 He came into his own and his own did not receive him.

Receiving Jesus

1:12 But as many received him ...
he gave to them the right to become children of God ...
to the ones believing in his name.
1:13 Not the ones born out of bloods ...
nor of a will of flesh ...
nor of a will of a husband ...
  but of God.

Jesus, Man, Cosmos

1:14 And The Word became flesh and tented among us ...
and we gazed (upon) his Glory, like Glory of an only one from a Father
  full of Grace and Truth.

John the Baptist

1:15 John testifies about him and has cried out saying ... This One was he whom I said ... The One coming after me, has come before me ...
because prior to me he was.

Jesus and God

1:16 Because from his fullness we all received even Grace on top of Grace.
1:17 Because the Law was given through Moses ...
the Grace and the Truth came through Jesus Christ.
1:18 No one has ever seen God, a unique God ...
the One being in the bosom of the Father ... that one explained (him).
